Covid 19 Plan for Worcester County Recreation & Parks All WCRP PROGRAMS & FACILITIES CLOSED as of 6:30 pm on March 13, 2020 Starting 6:30 pm on Friday, March 13, 2020, the Worcester County Recreation Center will be closed to the public through March 27 at minimum, and all programs and activities will be cancelled. This closing is an effort to help control the spread of the COVID-19. All county parks will remain open for passive activities until further notice. Registration for upcoming programs can be made by going online at www.WorcesterRecandParks.org or by mail. If you have any questions or need to speak with Recreation & Parks Staff, please call 410-632-2144, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or email recandparks@co.worcester.md.us We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Dig-It Volleyball’s winter season came to an end tonight. Players had a great last night participating in an all-skills clinic to conclude the program.
After School Zone participants are celebrating the 100th day of school today. They are building legos with 100 pieces, jumping over a line 100 times, stacking and measuring 100 pennies, and tossing a tennis ball 100 times.

Recreation and Parks staff have a set up today at the Junior Achievement Career Exploration Fair at the Ocean City Convention Center. This fair was created to offer 8th grade students the opportunity to learn about careers and provide hands-on learning before entering high school. In our space students are getting to line a batters box for softball and baseball by Parks Crew Leader Darcy Billetdeaux.

The 2020 Philadelphia Flower Show did not disappoint! Bus trip participants got to spend the today enjoying the Riviera Holiday landscapes, special artwork, plant demonstrations, and shop at the many vendors. More trips are being offered this spring. Next one is on Monday, March 30 to the Arlington National Cemetery and Washington D.C. On Your Own. We hope you can join us!

Something magical happened last night at the Worcester County Recreation Center in Snow Hill. Santa’s helpers delivered a Santa mailbox. Children may drop off their Wish List Letters for Santa at the Recreation Center. Letters received by Wednesday, December 18, 2019 will be answered by Santa. Make sure you write your address on the list. Merry Christmas!
